Hello – my name is Jane Batchelor, and I am employed full time at Cotherstone Primary School as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. I predominantly work in key stage 2, supporting children with SEN but since joining this school in 2013 l have worked in every class from EYFS up to year 6. Currently I run weekly intervention groups, such as, Socially Speaking which encourages children to express their thoughts and feelings in appropriate ways. I oversee the school council, which I absolutely love doing, and I provide PPA cover to all the class teachers during the week. I also work as a lunchtime supervisor and have the official role of the school play leader, which gives me the opportunity to use different practical skills to organising games, plan gardening duties and nature activities (a big passion of mine.)
Outside of work I enjoy spending my spare time being outdoors as much as possible, either hiking, biking, gardening, and watching and spotting mother nature doing what it does best.
