Return to school

1st September 2021 By alisonsabey

We are looking forward to welcoming your child back to school tomorrow morning and we are now able to confirm that we will return to our pre-pandemic timings. You can drop your child off at school between 8:40am and 8:50am. A member of staff will be on playground duty from 8:40am and you are welcome to drop your child at the school gate between these times. The school day will end at 3:15pm.
We will no longer have bubbles in school and the key stages will be able to mix. The wearing of face masks is optional. The school will be well ventilated, so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately, with extra layers if necessary, should the weather turn cool. PE lessons will take place outdoors whenever possible.
There is no longer a need for children to change their footwear on entering the building.
These changes are in line with the guidance issued by the local authority.
As before, please inform us if a member of your household tests positive with Covid.
Children will not need to isolate if they have been in contact with a positive case but will be advised to have a PCR test. If they show symptoms, they should stay at home and have a PCR test.
Let’s hope this return to something more normal is a permanent move.
