I am a Professional Artist living within Bowes Village. I have undertaken several works and projects with the Children over the years.
School wall mural depicting children through the ages and Where’s Wally incorporated within it. Alphabet books the children illustrated a letter, they were printed on the etching press and the pages were bound into books. Clay leaf making as an exhibit for the Great Yorkshire Show. The children made leaves which were fired in the kiln and mounted as a picture. A Roman mosaic panel. Two perspex trees for the school photographs and one for Bowes Church.
I have often judged competitions within the school and pre-school. I am keen to continue working with children from both our schools.
This page will be populated in the near future.
Hello all. I have been a Parent Governor at Bowes school since 2019 and have lived in the village for over 30 years with a short time in Leeds while attending university. I have now been nominated as a Foundation Governor which has been accepted. I currently work as a Warehouse Mover at GSK in Barnard Castle though I have a long education back-round in Construction.
One of my main reasons to join the Governors was to ensure that the excellent education standards and values of Bowes that my son received will be continued so that my daughter will benefit when she starts in 2022.
I have found the role of being a Governor interesting but also challenging, (there is a lot to learn!). I am still trying to find my feet with it all, not helped by COVID but hope that I can make a valuable contribution to both Schools.
